David Bowie started as a recording artist in 1964 and was involved with The Konrads, The King Bees, The Manish Boys, The Lower Third, The Buzz, The Riot Squad and Feathers.  He was initially known as Davie Jones (and Davy) but so was another English musician who gained famed with The Monkees and the name was changed to David Bowie drawing inspiration from an American knife.

After working with Lindsey Kemp he toured briefly as a mime artist with Marc Bolan’s Tyranoursarus Rex and then recorded his second album featuring the later hit ‘Space Oddity’ before recording a series of moderately successful albums culminating with Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars which would be the platform for his 1970’s and thereafter mega stardom.

Concert memorabilia from the 19690’s and 1970’s for David Bowie is very desirable and in particular concert posters, signed items, instruments, props, hand written lyrics, documents, clothing and anything unusual that is related to him.
